APPROVAL OF THE SARASOTA GROWS GREEN ROOFS GRANT PROPOSAL TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY FOR ALL SARASOTA COUNTY SCHOOLS
Description
COMPETITIVE: Grant funds of $50,000 will provide teacher training on environmental issues, will allow CTE construction program students to gain experience using green building materials and to work with manufacturing representatives, and will allow science students at every school to work with a green roof module at their school.
Recommendation
That the School Board of Sarasota County approve the Sarasota Grows Green Roofs grant proposal.
